My Stick Figure Icon

My Stick Figure

Initial Development Period: Feb 2018 - Oct 2018

My Stick Figure is a pretty simple game available for Android devices on the Google Play store.  The inspiration came from the classic Tamagotchi toys.  In the game, the player chooses between various tasks for their stick figure to perform.  Each task uses a different amount of energy over time but rewards the player with some in-game money.

After this project, I had developed skills in mobile game development and getting feedback on gameplay experience.  It wasn't meant to be a super exciting game, but it did give me a lot of valuable experience.

Molasses Game Engine

Initial Development Period: Dec 2019 - Feb 2020

This project started because I wanted to try and make a 2D game engine in Java and I would say that I succeeded in that.  But it is extremely limited in its capacity and it is not particularly fast.  That said, the engine can still be used to create a full game, as demonstrated by my BGSU Hackathon 2020 project.

BGSU 2020 Hackathon Project

Initial Development Period: Feb 22-23, 2020

This simple 2D top-down puzzle game was completed in 24 hours for the BGSU 2020 Hackathon.  Our team consisted of 4 people, including myself as the team lead, and won the first-place prize.

While playing the game, keep in mind that it was built in less than 24 hours (only 16 were actually spent working and not eating/sleeping).  This game was built on the Molasses Game Engine, which I also developed.

Note: The latest version of Java may be needed to run this game.

Match Three

Initial Development Period: Dec 2019

This simple Match Three game was just a fun project that I worked on over winter break in 2019.  It actually led to the development of the Molasses Game Engine.  There's nothing special about this project; just a match-three game.  But it was really fun to make and there's a pretty satisfying animation when the gems are broken.

Note: The latest version of Java may be needed to run this game.

These are some of my personal favorite projects that I have worked on and I feel like they help demonstrate my style and capabilities.  I may add more projects to this list if I see a good reason to do so (I've made at least 5 other small games in addition to the games listed above).

If you would like more information on any of the above games, or would like to see any more of my work, please feel free to contact me!
